Unconditional Gratitude

Living in a State of Unconditional Gratitude

Gratitude
Such a big and very important word. How often do we remember to feel and practice this? There are so many stressors in our lives every day. When we let ourselves get too out of sorts, when someone does something that makes us angry, when we feel the weight of the world on our shoulders, when we feel alone, when we just can't get everything done, the feeling of gratitude is often the first thing to go.

Remember we always have choices, and that includes our feelings. We can choose to stay low, or we can choose to think and feel differently. We can choose to live more in a state of
Unconditional Gratitude.

True Empowerment comes from living in a state of unconditional gratitude as often as we can, so when the sun isn’t out, or our partner is an ass, or our boss is in a bad mood, or the money we expected doesn't come through, or the house is a mess, or we are stressed about our time with our relatives, we can still choose to get our emotions up to a higher vibrational state and live with more peace.
Why? Because it is so much better for our health, and because it is one of the reasons we incarnated here on Earth, to live with gratitude even when life is tough.
How? How can we get back there when we feel so down?

Stop what you are doing right now, look out a window, or better yet, step outside. Look at the sky. Take a slow inhale, and let your jaw and shoulders drop with the exhale. Do that a few more times.
Let the pressure go and remember that this is just one moment and this moment will pass
.
Then look around and find something, anything to be grateful for. The food in the refrigerator, the heat being on, a photo of a great memory, the warm home we live in, the air that we breathe, there are so many things we can easily find to be grateful for if we choose to.

We can also choose to do something for another out of pure kindness.
Not something we feel we have to do. Not something we are doing out of guilt or with resentment.  Just something that comes from the goodness of our hearts.  Helping others from a place of true unconditional giving feels so good. It raises our emotional vibration very quickly.  Emotional strength comes from healthy breathing, and it also comes from finding ways to be there for someone else so we put our own problems in a different perspective.

On this Thanksgiving holiday, and throughout the holidays over the next few months, let's commit to choosing to get back to gratitude as often as possible. When the lower vibrational feelings like frustration, grief, sadness, and anger take over, we can step outside and look at the sky. We can take a big inhale and pause before we let the breath out. We can remember our place in this big world, we can choose humility and know this too shall pass. We can choose to find ways to be there for others.
We can choose to spread love.
